Knocking For Knockers: Putting Pink in Every Neighborhood

Group of smiling people wearing breast cancer awareness shirts.

Knocking for Knockers is a groundbreaking, community-driven movement set to transform citywide breast cancer outreach.

They tell us early detection saves lives, and it does. But you cannot detect a symptom you were never taught to recognize.  On October 3, 2026, SisterHermana Foundation, in partnership with the First Coast National Pan-Hellenic Council, is launching a citywide movement to change how we approach breast cancer outreach in Jacksonville: Knocking for Knockers: Putting Pink in Every Neighborhood.  Through our signature Taking it to the Streets for Life approach, we aren't just canvassing door to door. We are uniting with local grocery stores, food giveaways, barbershops, salons, and neighborhood hubs to meet families exactly where they gather. By bringing lifesaving health education, screening guides, and early-detection tools directly into our communities, we are creating a scalable model for health equity that can be replicated nationwide.

WE ARE INVITING PARTNERS TO JOIN THE MOVEMENT:

  • Community Leaders & Advocates: Help mobilize your neighborhood or organization.
  • Divine Nine Members: Lead outreach teams across the First Coast.
  • Small Business Owners: Host an outreach table or feature screening resources at your storefront.
  • Healthcare Professionals & Volunteers: Share vital health literacy directly with residents.

Whether you canvass a street, host a table, or share this message, your active participation powers this citywide mission.

Join us in building something far greater than a single event.

Join us in driving real change.

One Conversation. One Screening. One Life Saved.
